Private Property RightsSummary
Article I, Section 16 of the State Constitution is very clear
in protecting the property of private citizens. And if government
legally encroaches upon those rights at any time, just compensation must be made
to the property owner.
Proposal
Oppose any legislation that would unconstitutionally infringe upon
private property rights. That said, reasonable measures should be
taken by property owners to protect bodies of water - lakes, streams,
river, ocean - that touch their property.
