Parental Notification
Summary
Parents - not the State - have the ultimate responsibility and innate
right to look out for the well-being and best interests of their
children. It is unconscionable that the State has stripped parents of
this right in regard to notification and authorization for abortions
upon their daughters of minority age. How and why have we
allowed this to happen?
Proposal
Introduce or support legislation that would make it a crime for
anyone to perform an abortion on a woman of minority age without
notifying both parents or the legal guardian of the child.
